Appliances
An appliance is the edge agent installed at a site. It's the component that actually talks to your network — scanning for assets, running jobs, and executing approved changes — and reports everything back to the NetEdgeIQ cloud.
What appliances do
- Continuously scan the network at their site and report discovered assets
- Probe assets with credentials to verify and authenticate capabilities
- Execute jobs: discovery, enrichment, metrics collection, and governed change execution
- Send periodic health heartbeats so you can monitor their status
